“We are a Canadian family of 4. We hired Wayan Sueta in December 2004 to guide and drive us to various parts of Bali. We enjoyed our time with Wayan very much as he is very personable and knowledgeable about the history of Bali. We found Wayan to be bright, honest, prompt and reliable and he always demonstrated great pride in his country. The prices Wayan charges for his services were also very reasonable. Wayan related well to our daughters who were 13 yrs and 16 years at the time and we all found him to be interesting and funny in the stories he told us. Wayan speaks good English which he originally learned from watching Western movies. His English skills have increased over the years of his guiding service through interaction with his clients. One of the highlights of our trip to Bali was visiting Wayan's family compound and meeting his lovely wife and 2 young sons. We also hiked in a rice paddy close to Wayan's village which was great fun. Wayan did his best to accommodate our wishes and had good suggestions for places we might like to visit which were off the regular tourist path. We have kept in touch with Wayan since our time in Bali as he became a good friend to us as wall as our guide.
